Last Thursday we celebrated a long-awaited moment: the official inauguration of our new store in Bilbao. Although the space had been open to the public for almost a month and many of you had already visited us, that evening felt different.

Seeing the store full, hearing your conversations, watching friends reunite, feeling the support, the smiles while discovering our collections… it was truly moving. More than inaugurating a space, it felt like we were celebrating a meeting point — a place where tradition remains alive while looking ahead.

Los Encajeros is much more than a luxury home-linens brand. It is, above all, a family story that began in 1880 here in the north, and has been passed down from generation to generation — four so far. And throughout them all, the same way of working: caring about the details, choosing quality fabrics, and standing by the value of craftsmanship and made-to-order personalisation.

Growing, collaborating, reaching further… these are things that are happening and will continue to happen. We do it alongside major groups, but also with small workshops and artisans who share our way of understanding luxury: thoughtfully made and with purpose.
Celebrating this moment in our hometown, after so many years of heritage, fills me with pride. Bilbao is where it all began, where we have grown, and where we continue moving forward without losing what defines us.

And above all, we carry Bilbao with us. It is where we began, where we work, and where we continue to meet again.

Thank you for being there, for coming back, and for joining us.
Mónica Mendoza.
